Evangelos Rekleitis was born in Piraeus, Greece in 1982. He holds a B.Sc. in Information and Communication Systems Engineering from the University of Aegean, Greece (2005) and a M.Sc. in Advanced Computing from the University of London, Imperial College London, Great Britain (2006).
He participated in the formulation of the Cypriot Government Cybersecurity Strategy, has been involved in several security studies and risk analysis & management projects for the Greek government and in educational projects for the University of the Aegean, the University of Piraeus, the Greek Institute of Local Administration (ITA), the Municipality of Piraeus and for private bodies; mainly in the areas of Information and Communication Systems Security, PKI, cryptography, security awareness He was employed by the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security; participating in Big Data security, cyber-threats, security standardization and cryptography projects. He is currently a researcher in the University of Brighton, working on risk management and assessment for Ho2020 project, MITIGATE.
He is an IEEE and ACM member.
